Role Description The Head of Consumer Product Licensing - North America is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role leads the development and execution of licensing strategies for consumer products across North America, overseeing categories such as apparel, accessories, home goods, collectibles, and other brand extensions. The position involves identifying and evaluating new licensing opportunities, negotiating and managing licensing agreements, and ensuring that products align with artists’ creative visions and brand standards. The role collaborates closely with artists, internal creative and commercial teams, and external partners to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and consistent brand representation. The Head of Consumer Product Licensing monitors market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform product categories, pricing, and distribution, while maintaining strong relationships with retailers, licensees, and strategic partners.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Product Strategy and Product Management, including developing and scaling consumer product licensing programs.
Strong Analytical Skills and experience with Market Research to evaluate opportunities, forecast performance, and guide data-informed decisions.
Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and present complex information clearly.
Proven track record in brand licensing, merchandising, or related fields within entertainment, art, or lifestyle industries.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships with artists, licensees, and retail partners.
Strong commercial acumen, contract negotiation skills, and familiarity with licensing agreements and IP considerations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Arts Management, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, with occasional travel across North America for partner meetings, events, and market visits.
