Instructional Designer

As an Instructional Designer, you design, develop and maintain e-learning that supports employee performance in a manufacturing environment. Partnering with manufacturing subject matter experts and L&D colleagues, you’ll translate technical and operational information into practical, engaging training that helps employees perform their jobs safely, efficiently and consistently.
This is a fully on-site position located at our corporate headquarters in Plymouth, MI.
You Will:
Own and maintain manufacturing e-learning curriculum, ensuring content remains relevant, accurate, and aligned with operational needs.
Design and develop interactive e-learning for production employees using sound instructional design and adult learning principles.
Partner with manufacturing subject matter experts to identify learning needs and translate complex technical content into clear, practical instruction.
Create engaging digital learning experiences using interactions, scenarios, assessments, graphics, audio, video, and other media.
Manage e-learning projects from concept through launch, including content gathering, development, stakeholder review, testing, LMS publication, and ongoing updates.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning technology, communications, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience designing and developing e-learning solutions
Experience developing training for manufacturing, industrial, technical, operations, skilled-trades, or other frontline environments is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360, along with experience using multimedia development tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Strong instructional writing, research, project management, and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical subject matter experts.
Ability to travel occasionally to our manufacturing facilities.
Ability to be fully in-person at our corporate office in Plymouth, MI.
