Associate Director, Field Sales
Indirect Tax Solutions
About the Role
Wolters Kluwer is seeking an experienced sales leader to lead our Indirect Tax sales organization focused on enterprise and large corporate customers headquartered in North America. Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals focused on indirect tax technology solutions.
Drive revenue growth through direct sales efforts and strategic channel partnerships.

Collaborate with Marketing, Presales, Product Management, Partner Management, and Customer Success teams to maximize pipeline generation and customer outcomes.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that leverage ERP, tax technology, and partner ecosystems.
Lead forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and sales execution activities.
Monitor team performance against revenue objectives and implement coaching and development plans as needed.
Identify emerging market opportunities related to indirect tax automation, VAT compliance, e-invoicing, and digital tax transformation initiatives.
Represent Wolters Kluwer at industry conferences, partner events, and customer executive meetings.
Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of software or technology sales leadership experience managing quota-carrying sales teams.
Demonstrated success leading enterprise sales teams selling complex SaaS, tax technology, ERP-adjacent, fintech, or compliance solutions.
Experience managing large, strategic customer opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive sustained revenue growth.
Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operating discipline.
Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading teams selling solutions that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or other enterprise ERP platforms.
Understanding of API-driven software integrations and enterprise technology ecosystems.
Experience working with strategic alliance partners, channel partners, systems integrators, or consulting firms.
Indirect tax, sales and use tax, VAT, e-invoicing, or tax technology experience strongly preferred.
Experience selling into Finance, Tax, IT, or Digital Transformation organizations within large enterprises.
Familiarity with global compliance, cross-border tax requirements, and digital tax reporting initiatives.
Knowledge of the Wolters Kluwer, Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters, SAP, or Microsoft partner ecosystems is a plus.
