Strategic Analytics - Senior Associate

Start your analytics career at the intersection of data, risk, and customer protection. As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you’ll partner with the Fraud team to translate complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations that influence strategy, strengthen operational controls, and improve performance monitoring across the account lifecycle.
This role is ideal for recent graduate students (Master’s/PhD preferred) with 1–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, or full-time roles) who are excited to learn quickly and drive measurable impact.
In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience solving high-impact fraud and performance challenges using real-world data, helping to drive meaningful business outcomes. You'll receive mentorship from experienced risk and analytics professionals who will support your growth and development, while also gaining broad exposure to the end-to-end account lifecycle, including key controls, governance practices, and operational processes. This experience will provide a strong foundation in both analytics and risk management, equipping you with valuable skills and insights to advance your career.
Job Responsibilities
Build and maintain recurring reporting and analytics that provide leadership visibility into emerging trends and the quality of originated accounts.
Analyze key performance metrics and profitability drivers to deliver insights across the full account lifecycle (from acquisition through ongoing performance).
Partner with operational teams (e.g., manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) to understand workflows and identify drivers of acquisition performance.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to support Fraud Risk Management initiatives, translating findings into decision-ready recommendations.
Create dashboards and clear readouts that help non-technical stakeholders understand “what’s happening, why, and what to do next.”
Operate with strong discipline around data quality, governance, and privacy, validating results and documenting assumptions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research) preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
1+ years of relevant analytics experience (internship, co-op, or full-time) in areas such as analytics, BI, strategy & analytics, business analysis, or risk.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets; ability to validate results and troubleshoot data issues.
Working knowledge of SAS (or strong willingness to ramp quickly if you’re stronger in SQL).
Ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses, with clear problem statements and measurable outputs.
Strong written and verbal communication—able to tell the story with data and tailor messages to business audiences.
Comfort working in a controlled environment with data governance and privacy expectations.
Preferred qualifications
Exposure to Fraud, Risk, Credit, Compliance, or Financial Services (banking/digital banking a plus).
Experience building dashboards and recurring reporting (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Coursework or project experience with modeling, experimentation, segmentation, or time-series trend analysis.
