Senior Nuclear Mechanical Engineer - Piping

Our client, a leading developer in advanced technology is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of ASME III piping design and stress analysis across the plant's primary systems.
You will report into the engineering group responsible for piping design and system integration, carrying out complex design and stress analysis of Section III Class 1, 2 and 3 piping using AutoPIPE, Caesar II or equivalent, supported by finite element work where the geometry demands it. Load cases span deadweight, thermal expansion and gradients, seismic response spectrum and time history, and fluid transients, with NF support design alongside. Where stress results force a re-route or a change in support arrangement, you will lead the evaluation of the options. You will prepare and review specifications, drawings and models with the drafting team, certify design specifications for Section III piping and supports, and bring on the less experienced engineers working with you.
All work sits under an NQA-1 quality programme and the associated NRC requirements.
