About the Role
Location: Remote, Continental US time zones
As a Full Stack developer on our growing team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient server-side applications tailored for the nuclear power sector. You will be responsible for the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment. With a strong foundation in Python & Node.js, you will focus on developing robust backend services, integrating APIs, and optimizing databases for high performance. Beyond code, you will also be responsible for designing and implementing robust distributed systems, including containerization, orchestration, and deployment strategies, to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure engineers to design and build scalable data ingestion and search infrastructure.
Develop and maintain reusable and efficient code using Python, Node.js and other relevant technologies
Identify and address performance issues, ensuring optimal speed and responsiveness of the applications
Design and implement scalable backend systems that ensure high performance and reliability across multiple environments.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability
Contribute to our LLM workflows
Work on identity/auth infrastructure (Keycloak, SAML/OAuth) supporting enterprise customer SSO integrations
Weigh in on system architecture decisions and technical tradeoffs, from data source design to model integration
Key Knowledge and Skills
8+ years of professional full-stack experience; comfortable autonomously owning a feature from database to UI
Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL
Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with frontend applications
Solid understanding of databases, query optimization, and performance tuning
Prefer experience with PyTorch, vLLM, Trition, embeddings
Prefer experience with ElasticSearch & PostgreSQL
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Quarterly travel to rotating US destinations for in-person company meetings
Prior production delivery experience (startup environment a plus) over pure research background
Nice to Have
Experience with, or strong interest in, LLM/RAG systems: retrieval, ranking, and safely shipping generative AI features to production
Experience with identity/auth systems (Keycloak, SAML, OAuth) a plus
Experience working in a SOC 2 environment
Experience deploying into a customer's own cloud tenant or an air-gapped / network-isolated environment
Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or other regulated and sovereign cloud experience
Background in a regulated industry such as nuclear, healthcare, defense, finance, or critical infrastructure
GPU infrastructure and LLM serving experience (vLLM, model gateways, capacity and quota planning)
Experience running search or vector database infrastructure at scale
Familiarity with Cloudflare (DNS, Zero Trust, Pages, Workers)
