Practical Nursing Adjunct InstructorPart TimeFloyd County Campus
Job Summary:
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor to be located on the Floyd County Campus and will be required to travel to other campuses to meet operational requirements. This position will report to the Practical Nursing Program Administrator. The PN Adjunct Instructor is responsible for presenting instruction in clinical subject areas. If assigned as a clinical adjunct, present instruction and maintain visibility to students in the clinical setting. This position requires an on-campus work environment presence and does not offer a telework option.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborates with faculty to meet the needs of the students
Provides a variety of learning experiences consistent with the program mission, philosophy and nursing education outcomes
Implements, operates, and participates in clinical activities to guarantee a high quality, safe, and consistent clinical experience
Proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications
Actively participates in departmental committees
Demonstrates effective working relationships with individuals and groups
Actively participate in professional development
Other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
Be in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent technology skills
Have the expertise and professional development necessary to enable the goals/outcomes of the curriculum
BLS through American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold both a current Georgia and Tennessee license or be eligible for licensure in Georgia and Tennessee.
BSN
Computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Recent experience in the clinical setting
Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.
Salary: $33.66 ASN, $38.76 BSN+
Benefits:
If this is a part-time position, no benefits are available.
