Do you enjoy figuring out how things work and fixing them when they don't? At LAKO, our Electrical Technicians keep manufacturing equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working alongside engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams, you'll troubleshoot electrical issues, perform wiring and maintenance, and support continuous improvements on innovative packaging equipment.
LAKO Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components used in our manufacturing equipment. This role supports safe and efficient production through hands-on work with electrical wiring, motor controls, power distribution systems, and industrial machinery.

Electrical Installation & Wiring
Install, wire, and connect electrical components and equipment
Assemble and wire control panels and electrical assemblies
Route and terminate wiring according to schematics and electrical standards
Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities
Verify electrical systems meet safety requirements and applicable codes
Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in production equipment
Repair or replace motors, relays, contactors, sensors, breakers, switches, and other electrical components
Perform electrical testing using meters and diagnostic equipment
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime
Maintenance & Reliability
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Inspect electrical panels, wiring, motors, and controls for wear, damage, or safety concerns
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
Ensure equipment complies with company safety standards and applicable electrical codes
Documentation & Team Support
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
If This Sounds Like You, We Want to Connect!
Education
Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or a related technical field preferred
Technical certification, apprenticeship, trade school training, or equivalent experience considered
Qualifications
2-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance or electrical technician experience preferred
Strong understanding of electrical theory and industrial electrical systems
Experience with motors, motor controls, and power distribution systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes
Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters
Experience with panel wiring and electrical component installation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment
