Position Summary
Perform maintenance and repair of non-power block systems structure and components to support site operation. Perform maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment to support the site. Ensure maintenance and repair activities are performed in the most cost-effective and timely manner to maintain a good working environment for site employees. Some examples of responsibilities include commercial electrical and plumbing, potable water system, sewer systems, non-power block systems structures and components, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, IT data center support systems, fire protection systems and equipment, maintenance and repair of site tools and equipment, Emergency Sirens, lab fume hoods, eye wash stations, wood working, commercial and industrial doors and on call duty. Many of these positions have State Licenses/Certifications in their respective disciplines.
Responsibilities
HVAC Includes HVAC Units inside and outside Protected Area (PA)
Electrical Responsible for any electrical requests/repairs in Site Services owned facilities
Plumbing All plumbing repairs or upgrades in kitchens, labs, restrooms, office areas
Sewer Systems To include Sewage Ejectors, Lift Stations
Compressors To include repair/replacement and PM’s
Eye Wash Units Testing and PM’s on Plant Eye Wash Stations
Refrigeration Units Maintenance & Repair to all refrigeration units,
Doors Maintenance and repair Plant & Facility Doors to include Fire Doors
Data Center (x2) Manage and maintain all upgrades/ repairs to Data Center Equipment Electrical Distribution, HVAC and Support systems.
Shop/Lab Equipment PM & Repairs to Shop/Lab equipment on site
Lifting/Rigging Equipment & Testing Maintenance of hoist related equipment
Siren Maintenance Perform PM’s, Repairs, and Testing of all Siren Equipment
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, furniture, cabinets, shelves, tables, kitchen equipment, and minor roof repair.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical components including but not limited to fire protection sprinkler systems, air lines, pumps, motors and valves.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on electrical systems and components, including but not limited to inside lighting, security lighting, emergency lighting, panel board wiring, etc.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, PM’s and repair on HVAC systems and components including but not limited to condensing fan motor replacement, compressor replacement and total unit change outs.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical plumbing components including but not limited to, sewage ejectors and lift stations, back flow preventers and flow meters, composite sample systems, fire protection systems, pump, valve and piping repairs and replacement.
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Remote sampling sites and equipment, Alert notification equipment, nuclear emergency response equipment (FLEX, B 5B).
Bulk responsibilities for this position are to be Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC SME.
Required/Basic Qualifications
High School/GED degree
3 years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Technical degree
In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience
Plumbing contractor and/or Licensed Electrical Contractor and/or HVAC Certification and/or CDL license
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience using basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook/email, etc.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, management and supporting personnel
Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical and
electrical components in an industrial or commercial application
Experience performing installation maintenance and troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems and components including but not limited to inside lighting, general building wiring, emergency lighting and outside lighting.
Experience performinginstallation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on electrical equipment with voltages ranging from 115 volts to 600 volts
Proficient in the use of manufactures manuals, drawings and procedures
Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical components including but not limited to air compressors, air lines, piping, pumps, motors and valves.
Experience performing installation maintenance and troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems and components including but not limited to inside lighting, general building wiring, emergency lighting and outside lighting.
Forklift operation experience
Previous Nuclear Plant experience
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
Currently hold a Class III driver's license (DOT)
Experience operating heavy Equipment
Hold or have held a commercial contractor’s License in the required discipline. ( electrical, HVAC, Plumbing)
Qualified Crane Operator
Experience performing oversight of vendor work force at a Nuclear Facility
Working Conditions
Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility. On-site employees are also required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location, not greater than 50 miles one way.
Vary from extreme cold to hot temps as well as working at heights, confined spaces and at night.
