Lead UX Designer

About this role
We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer who is AI-forward and excited about growing business-critical product lines while achieving a high bar for ease of use for our customers. This is a unique opportunity for a customer-obsessed UX and Customer Experience designer to help shape product innovation through research, design, experimentation, and rapid prototyping.
In this role, you will help design UX and product innovations while applying lean product principles in everything you do. You will use modern AI tools to accelerate ideation, explore design concepts, create prototypes, and validate product experiences while maintaining strong human-centered design principles, quality, accessibility, and usability standards.
This position involves leveraging insights from user research, interviews, and surveys and translating them into data-grounded design solutions, including sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. You will conduct usability research and testing to evaluate and shape your interactions, workflows, and overall product experience. You will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product and iterate based on research findings, user feedback, and validated learning.
Having a strong goal orientation, rather than a task orientation, and anchoring decisions in the client experience will help you navigate the challenges involved in building great products.
What you’ll do
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Leverage insights from user research, interviews, and surveys to develop data-grounded UX solutions.
Conduct usability research and testing to shape interaction design, validate workflows, and improve the overall user experience.
Translate research findings into user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and other design artifacts that address user needs and business goals.
Apply an AI-forward design approach by using AI tools to rapidly explore concepts, generate design variations, test ideas, and develop high-fidelity prototypes.
Create AI-assisted prototypes that communicate product vision, demonstrate workflows, and enable early validation with users, stakeholders, and development teams.
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, reusable UX components, front-end libraries, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions based on a user-centered design approach; rapidly test and iterate designs based on business requirements and customer feedback.
Create graphics and web layouts that highlight important insights, clarify complex data, and create a narrative flow to maximize user impact.
Implement a lean approach to product development in which you and the team strive for early validated learning that leads to shorter cycle times and faster delivery of customer value.
Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver cohesive product experiences.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging AI capabilities into the design process and product experience, ensuring that AI-enabled solutions are useful, understandable, inclusive, and aligned with user needs.
Support multiple long- and short-term projects while actively prioritizing workflow based on ROI and business value generated.
Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices across products and experiences.
What you’ll need
Degree in a related discipline with 7+ years of experience in product or UI design solutions based in fully digital environments.
An AI-forward mindset and demonstrated experience using AI tools for UX ideation, design exploration, workflow development, and rapid prototyping.
Proficiency in using AI-powered design and prototyping tools to create, iterate, and communicate product concepts efficiently.
A strong understanding of basic front end development and feasibilities.
A solid grasp of user-centered design, human-computer interaction, planning and conducting user research, usability research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility.
Ability to work with geographically distributed teams to understand detailed requirements and design user experiences that meet client needs and business objectives.
Strong visual design, brand, and user experience instincts, with the ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
Ability to balance AI-assisted design workflows with sound UX judgment, critical thinking, ethical considerations, and human-centered decision-making.
Experience designing or prototyping AI-enabled experiences, conversational interfaces, intelligent workflows, or data-informed product experiences is a plus.
