Workshop Assistant - Timaru

With dealerships across the country and a strong reputation for quality and service, we’re looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our team in Timaru and provide valuable support to our Automotive Technicians and wider workshop team.

About the Role
Working alongside our experienced Automotive Technicians, you’ll provide general workshop support and assist with a range of tasks, including:
Assisting Automotive Technicians with servicing, repairs and general workshop tasks
Installing accessories such as lighting, cameras, electronic GPS/Hubos and other components
Helping to ensure the workshop is organised, clean and operating efficiently
Supporting the team with day-to-day workshop duties as required
Working safely and following all company procedures and instructions
Identifying and reporting hazards, risks and unsafe conditions
Maintaining a professional and helpful approach with colleagues and customers
What we're looking for
You don't necessarily need to have formal automotive experience — we're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and keen to learn.
You'll ideally bring:
A self-motivated and proactive approach
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake a hands-on role
Strong time management and organisational skills
Good communication skills
A willingness to learn new skills and support the wider workshop team
A clean, full NZ driver's licence is preferred
