Immigration Specialist

This is a contractual position. You will be working remotely from India and providing services to clients in India, Canada, and New Zealand. Your regular working hours will be 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time (Toronto, Canada).
Accordingly, you will be required to work during late evening and night-time hours in India, corresponding to Toronto business hours.

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an Immigration Specialist who will support clients with Canadian and New Zealand immigration processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client eligibility, explaining visa and immigration options, and preparing, reviewing, and submitting immigration applications and supporting documentation. The Immigration Specialist will monitor application progress, respond to client inquiries, and communicate updates in a timely, clear manner. The role also involves staying current with immigration policies and regulatory changes, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal team members to ensure compliance and efficient case management.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of immigration issues and global immigration trends, with specific focus on Canada and New Zealand.
Strong understanding of immigration policy and relevant law, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Experience handling visa applications and related procedures, including documentation review and submission.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in accessible terms.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
Proficiency with standard office software and case management tools; comfort working in a remote, digital environment.
Prior experience in immigration consulting, legal services, or a related field is an asset.
Relevant post-secondary education (e.g., law, international relations, public policy, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
