Are you an experienced event leader with a passion for driving global change? We are looking for an exceptional Global Director of Online Events to take the helm of our flagship event series, 24 Hours of Impact, on a flexible, volunteer basis (~10 hrs/week).
About the Role
As Global Director of Online Events, you will take full ownership of the monthly coordination and execution of 24 Hours of Impact—a continuous, 24-hour virtual showcase spotlighting purpose-driven impact alliances, social innovators, and action networks across every continent. 24HoI takes place every 4 weeks currently, ramping up to every 2nd week starting in November.
You will serve as the conductor of a global orchestra, aligning cross-cultural speakers, technical producers, and ecosystem partners into one seamless, inspiring experience every month.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Program Lead: Oversee the monthly planning, programming, and live delivery of 24 Hours of Impact across all time zones. (You DO NOT need to stay awake for 24 hours straight yourself; you will have 4 Continental Directors each covering 7 hours shifts.)
Partner & Speaker Coordination: Liaise directly with international impact alliances, keynotes, and regional host organizations to curate compelling, high-impact sessions.
Technical & Platform Management: Ensure robust streaming infrastructure, fallback protocols, and smooth host handoffs throughout the 24-hour broadcast cycle.
Audience Engagement & Growth: Collaborate with marketing and community teams to maximize global turnout, drive real-time engagement, and nurture community post-event.
Process & Playbook Design: Refine broadcast workflows, host toolkits, and standard operating procedures to scale event quality and operational efficiency.
Who You Are
Global Virtual Event Expert: 3+ years leading large-scale, multi-time-zone online events or international summits.
Master Coordinator: Highly organized with exceptional project management skills; unfazed by complex schedules, host transitions, or live troubleshooting.
Impact-Driven Volunteer: Motivated by purpose and enthusiastic about dedicating ~10 hours per week to support global change-makers.
Tech-Savvy Producer: Hands-on proficiency with major virtual event platforms (e.g., Hopin, Zoom Events, StreamYard, Restream).
Cross-Cultural Communicator: Fluent in English with outstanding interpersonal skills across cultures and regional contexts (additional languages are a strong plus).
