About the Opportunity:
The STUDENT SUCCESS ADVISOR CAREER & PROGRAMMATIC role is dedicated to enhancing student academic achievement and retention. This position serves as a primary contact for students within a specific area of study, building trusting relationships and offering guidance to help students overcome obstacles and reach their academic and career goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain supportive relationships with assigned students.
Communicate regularly and effectively with students through phone and email.
Use university technology systems to support student engagement and track progress.
Respond promptly to student inquiries.
Advocate for student needs across university departments.
Manage individual student caseload independently.
Analyze student data to identify barriers and propose improvements.
Introduce students to university systems such as registration and learning platforms.
Provide guidance on academic progress, course and degree selection, and balancing study with life commitments.
Coach students on success strategies and navigating university processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
Strong phone presence and clear, concise email communication skills.
Initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Energetic, goal-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to student success and responsiveness.
Proficiency with technology platforms including learning management systems, CRM, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational skills to manage consistent student contact.
Ability to connect with adult students and uphold high ethical standards.
Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts preferred.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
