Position Summary
As a contractor, you will deliver hands-on AWS development services to support the technical needs of the Deloitte project team. Develop, test, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and DynamoDB. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS environments and application integrations. Optimize application performance and cost efficiency within AWS cloud architecture. Collaborate with project team members to ensure solutions align with technical requirements and best practices.
Work you'll doThe service you will provide the Deloitte project team as an AWS Developer Contractor will include:
Monitor Amazon CloudWatch and AWS Step Functions status across application programming interface (API) and batch integrations; investigate and resolve incidents within service-level agreements (SLAs) and communicate systemic issues through the project escalation process.
Troubleshoot API validation, timeout, and authentication failures using Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights; investigate batch exceptions involving missed windows, Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) encryption, and data-quality rejects; coordinate reprocessing and backfills.
Develop, test, and deploy AWS integration components using AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon API Gateway; update AWS CloudFormation or Terraform configurations to support performance and cost efficiency.
Process integration service requests for new setups and configuration or mapping changes; update runbooks and the integration catalog.
Provide on-site technical coordination during U.S. business hours with client stakeholders and third-party technical teams on cross-system integration issues.2
Qualifications
Required:
Experience developing and deploying integrations in Amazon Web Services (AWS) using AWS Lambda, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Step Functions, and Amazon CloudWatch.
Experience creating and updating infrastructure-as-code configurations using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Experience using Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights to investigate Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interface (API) validation, timeout, and authentication failures.
Experience supporting batch integrations using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) encryption, data-quality error analysis, reprocessing, and backfills.
Experience documenting integration setups, mappings, runbooks, and integration catalogs.
Ability to travel 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Ability to work onsite in the Ewing Township, NJ area 3 days per week.
Preferred
AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification.
The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $65 - $70 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
