Driven to be the Best
People. Performance. Purpose.
At Avis Budget Group, we’re driven to be the best vehicle rental company in the world, together. Our 25,000 employees raise the bar every day, bringing different perspectives, taking ownership, and leading with integrity. We’re defining the future of mobility with safe, sustainable solutions that move people, businesses, and communities forward.
We're looking for an FP&A Manager to lead financial reporting and performance analysis across our rental business segments, and to serve as the primary link between Sales and Finance — connecting commercial performance to financial results. The person in this role owns the strategic development of our profit allocation tool. Because the tool's evolution depends on inputs and collaboration from IT, Risk, and other Finance functions, this role requires someone who can drive cross-functional alignment as much as they can build a model.
What You'll Do:
Own segment-level P&L reporting and performance analysis, delivering insights that connect business results to underlying drivers (rate, volume, mix, cost)
Act as the primary bridge between Sales and Finance — ensuring commercial teams understand financial performance and Finance understands what's driving it operationally
Lead the ongoing development and refinement of the revenue/cost profit allocation tool
Design and validate driver-based allocation methodologies for non-directly attributable costs, and prioritize the roadmap for tool enhancements while managing dependencies across departments
Coordinate with IT, Risk, and other Finance departments to secure data, systems support, and sign-off needed to advance the allocation tool
Drive sales teams’ adoption of the profit allocation tool through hands-on training and support in interpreting results
Manage, coach, and develop the FP&A Analyst
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in Finance and Sales leadership
Establish and improve reporting processes, controls, and documentation for the allocation methodology
Identify opportunities to apply automation, SQL/Python tooling, and AI to improve reporting speed and accuracy
Perks You’ll Get:
Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance
Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages
401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions
Full training to learn the business and enhance professional skills
Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars
Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more
What We're Looking For:
Strong command of P&L structure, cost allocation concepts, and financial analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills — able to design allocation logic from first principles, not just execute existing models
Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills; strong command of the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
Prior people management or mentorship experience preferred
Experience with or strong interest in applying AI tools to finance/reporting workflows is a plus
Genuine enthusiasm for the business and the problem-solving involved — this role requires ownership, not just execution
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA a plus but not required
The annual starting salary for this position is between $100,000– $120,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
