Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician II

Job Summary:Sterile Processing plays a critical role in patient safety. Every instrument that leaves the department must be properly cleaned, inspected, disinfected or sterilized, and ready for use. As a Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician II, you’ll help ensure our clinical teams have the right equipment, properly processed and available when they need it.
Job Description:What You'll Do
Clean, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute medical instruments and equipment according to established standards and manufacturer instructions.
Perform high-level disinfection of semi-critical devices, including manual cleaning and operation of automated endoscope reprocessors and borescopes.
Operate sterilization equipment and complete required quality assurance testing and documentation.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, damage, and proper assembly before distribution.
Prepare and distribute requested instrumentation accurately and efficiently to support operating rooms and other clinical areas.
Collaborate with clinical teams to identify instrumentation needs while maintaining infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
What You'll Have
Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through CBSPD is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing, disinfection, sterilization, and infection prevention practices.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate sterilization and endoscope reprocessing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete required documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and patient safety standards.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation Information:$17.96 - $34.57
The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
