Atlasent is building the authority layer for consequential actions performed by people, software, and AI agents.
As AI agents gain the ability to deploy software, modify production systems, access sensitive information, and initiate business processes, organizations need more than monitoring after the fact. They need a way to determine whether an action is authorized before it executes.

Our initial applications include production change management, AI-agent authorization, and regulated workflows in areas such as life sciences.
We are an early-stage, founder-led company moving from a substantial working platform into our first commercial deployments. This is an opportunity to join at a stage where an exceptional engineer can have significant influence over the product and architecture.
Role Description
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer — Authorization & AI Infrastructure to work directly with the founder and take substantial ownership of the platform.
Your immediate objective will be helping turn Atlasent's existing infrastructure into a reliable, installable commercial product.
A representative problem looks like this:
An AI agent attempts a consequential action such as production.deploy.
Atlasent must determine who or what is acting, what it intends to do, whether organizational policy authorizes the action, whether human approval is required, and whether the resulting action matches what was authorized.
When approval is required:
Agent attempts action → Atlasent holds execution → human approves the exact action → Atlasent issues a bound, single-use permit → agent resumes → action executes → Atlasent verifies the effect → durable evidence is created.
You will help make this entire chain secure, reliable, observable, and simple enough for enterprise customers to deploy.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not primarily a management or frontend position.

Qualifications
We're primarily interested in what you've actually built.
Strong candidates will have substantial experience with several of the following:
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
TypeScript / Node.js
PostgreSQL and data modeling
Distributed backend systems and APIs
Authentication and authorization
RBAC / ABAC / policy-based authorization
OAuth / OIDC / SAML
GitHub APIs / GitHub Actions
Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
Production troubleshooting
Integration and end-to-end testing
Security-conscious engineering
Experience with IAM, policy engines, developer infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, AI agents/MCP, life sciences, healthcare, financial systems, or other regulated environments is particularly valuable.
A Computer Science or Engineering degree is welcome but equivalent practical experience is absolutely acceptable.
What We're Looking For
This role requires more than implementing predefined tickets.
We want an engineer who can:
Investigate → Understand → Design → Build → Test → Ship → Verify
You should be comfortable entering a complex existing system, finding the actual production blocker, proposing a solution, and carrying it through until the customer workflow works.
You should care about failure modes, authorization boundaries, tenant isolation, race conditions, evidence integrity, and what happens when external systems fail.
Working Hours & Availability
This is a remote B2B contractor role based in Poland.
Availability: 30–40 hours/week preferred.
We require approximately 4 hours of reliable overlap with U.S. Pacific Time during normal working days. The remainder of your working schedule can be structured independently.
We do not expect you to work an entire U.S. schedule from Poland.
Occasional additional flexibility may be needed for important customer deployments, major releases, or production incidents.
Compensation
30,000–40,000 PLN/month B2B, depending on experience, technical depth, and availability.
Your First 30 Days
Your primary objective will be helping complete Atlasent's first commercial authority workflow.
Success means a customer can:
Connect systems → protect a consequential action → attempt the action → receive an authority decision → obtain human approval when required → execute using a bound permit → verify the resulting effect → inspect durable evidence.
You'll also help reduce installation friction so future customers can get running without founder-specific knowledge.
