Aout the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer – Front-End based in Japan to contribute to the development of a mobile-first trading platform.
This role focuses on building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces and collaborating with a global team to deliver a reliable and scalable product.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript
Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces for web and mobile platforms
Integrate front-end components with REST APIs and WebSocket services
Collaborate with backend engineers working with FastAPI-based systems
Implement state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or similar)
Create data visualizations using tools such as D3.js or Chart.js
Ensure performance optimization for real-time data and large datasets
Translate Figma designs into functional UI components
Write and maintain front-end tests (Jest, React Testing Library)
Maintain clean and well-documented code using Git
Requirements
Experience with React and TypeScript
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
Experience working with APIs and real-time data
Familiarity with modern front-end development practices
Experience with version control (Git / GitHub)
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team
Professional working proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with React Native
Understanding of mobile performance optimization
Familiarity with app deployment standards (App Store / Google Play)
Experience with UI tools such as Figma
Interest in building interactive or data-driven interfaces
💡 Please Note - Equity-Only Structure
This is a part-time, equity-only role, suitable as a side engagement alongside a primary job or consulting work.
The position will transition to compensated status after the MVP launch and once funding or sustainable revenue is secured.
