Position Overview
As we expand, we're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).
Location:
Learn, innovate, and grow alongside the team! This internship is onsite in Syracuse, NY, offering hands-on R&D experience and opportunities to collaborate closely with experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of software components across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features
Improve on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization
Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background
Proficiency with Python
Experience using and developing on Linux platforms
Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles
Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS
Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas
Proficiency with or willingness to learn C++
Experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks
Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $84,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
