Manufacturing Operator

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Operator will produce pheromone-based pest control products on a variety of production lines in our Manufacturing facility while adhering to safety procedures. The Manufacturing Operator will report to the Area Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operates production machinery in accordance with specifications.
• Produces the required quantity of machine output within established specifications and tolerances.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Works effectively with others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
• Ability to train other Manufacturing Operators on various production lines.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of chemistry (temperate control, cross contamination).
• Basic understanding of measurements (mass, volume, distance, density).
• Basic writing ability and ability to record values accurately (gross weight, net weight).

• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure, stress, or strict time constraints.
• Effectively work well with a diverse group of people with different personalities.
• Requires onsite presence.
• Ability to work 5:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday shift schedule.
• Prolonged periods working on feet (up to 10 hours), using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, stooping and twisting.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs at a time. Must be able to participate in team lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect units produced.
Education and experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
