Senior Software Engineering Lead - React UI Automation

Primary Responsibilities
Develop and deliver applications using modern UI frameworks and scalable backend microservices under established architectural guidelines
Design, implement, test, and troubleshoot software components and features, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability
Develop micro‑products and services using React / Nextjs for front‑end and Spring Boot / Python for backend development
Contribute to building AI‑enabled features, including exposure to Generative AI and agent‑based workflows, under guidance from senior engineers
Develop and enhance user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on usability, performance, and maintainability
Write and optimize database queries and stored procedures using MS SQL and work with GraphQL APIs for efficient data access
Collaborate as part of an Agile/Scrum team to deliver new product features and services in iterative release cycles
Participate actively in code reviews, following coding standards and incorporating feedback to improve code quality
Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, contributing to build, deployment, and automation efforts for cloud‑native applications
Build automated tests for UI/ backend/ APIs
Write and execute automated tests in a TDD (Test Driven Development) setup
Manage test data for Automation
Engineer solutions that collect and report test results through various metrics reporting tools, example Sonar
Demonstrate expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles
Develop in-depth system and product knowledge
Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object repository methods, etc.)
Assist and mentor Automation QA testers in learning and developing automated scripts. Provide recommendations for improvement and share explanations and information to support team development
Document and mentor Quality engineers on the use of the testing framework
Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies
Research and implement tools to support delivery
Assist with DevOps support

Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of hands‑on experience in application development, with practical exposure to React‑based UI, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and API‑driven architectures
Experience contributing to reusable backend services or shared components (such as workflows, rules, orchestration, or data services) that are used by more than one application or team
Hands on Experience with Test automation frameworks - Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar
Experience to define and report Quality Engineering metrics
Experience to lead and mentor a team of Quality engineers
Good understanding of building secure, reliable, and scalable systems, including basics of authentication/authorization, performance considerations, logging/monitoring, and supporting applications in production environments
Practical exposure to applying AI/ML or NLP concepts to real‑world problems such as automation, API onboarding an consumption, or decision support, under guidance from senior engineers
API testing/ Automation - Postman/ Rest Assured/ Karate or similar experience
Cross browser testing / automation using Sauce Labs/ Browser Stack or similar experience
Solid expertise building Scenarios with BDD frameworks - Cucumber, Spec flow or similar
Demonstrated delivery of solutions that promote code reuse, maintainability, and faster development, beyond one‑off or tightly coupled implementations
Proven solid Coding skills - Java/ Jscript, Typescript or similar
Willingness and ability to learn, collaborate, and receive mentorship, while sharing knowledge with peers and following engineering best practices across platform and AI‑enabled components
Demonstrated ability to design and build test automation frameworks from scratch - choosing right frameworks based on project needs
Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible/ fast paced Agile environment
Proven solid communication skills, problem solving skills
