Job Description:
Responsible for the designing and detailing of hot runner system from high level concept, 3D modeling to detailing of prints and bill of materials with a focus on 100% quality.
Responsibilities:
Engineer an entire hot runner from concept to release for all common molds using CAD and BaaN
with a high level of attention to detail.
Follow well-established design rules and practices.
Work with manufacturing to help resolve production issues.
Maintain thorough job file documentation.
Check others’ work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as improvements.
Demonstrate and maintain the required quality, efficiency and on-time requirements.
Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Entry-level 3D CAD experience (NX experience preferred)
Ability to organize a sequence of tasks on a project to meet commitment dates.
Strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality designs.
Fast learner, and able to listen and accept constructive feedback.
Able to communicate well with others and convey ideas, both orally and written.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids and stress analysis (mechanical skills).
Qualifications:
Education (Indicate required and/or preferred education for this job)
BE/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent job-related experience)
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mold Design with relevant experience.
Related Experience:
2+ years of experience in Mechanical/Mold Design preferred.
