About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

We're looking for a commercially savvy relationship builder to join our Auckland team and help grow one of New Zealand's most loved coffee brands.
A little about us:
Allpress began right here in Auckland and has grown into a globally recognised coffee brand, with teams across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Japan and Singapore. While we've grown over the years, we've stayed true to what matters most: great coffee, great people, and long-term partnerships. Today, we're proud to offer a unique dual-brand portfolio, combining the heritage and craft of Allpress with the bold and edgy Underground Coffee. We're now looking for someone to help continue growing both brands throughout the North Island.
More on this exciting opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and creating opportunities that deliver long-term value. You'll work with a broad range of customers, helping them grow their businesses while identifying new opportunities for both our brands.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this is a role with plenty of opportunity to connect with our community, manage your pipeline, and be empowered to make decisions that support sustainable growth and strong customer partnerships.
You’ll bring a strong commercial mindset and a thoughtful, relationship-led approach to sales. You’ll be comfortable navigating a range of commercial opportunities, building strong partnerships, and finding practical solutions that create value for both our customers and our business. Experience in FMCG, foodservice, or tender-led environments would be a real advantage.
You’ll be supported by an experienced team while representing two well-loved brands. We’re focused on growing in a way that is practical, sustainable, and good for our customers and our business.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Freemans Bay office, with occasional travel throughout North Island, New Zealand to connect with customers and uncover new opportunities.
About you:
You are naturally curious, personable, and confident building relationships with a wide range of people. You enjoy connecting with communities, creating opportunities, and developing partnerships that stand the test of time.
You will be collaborating closely with our Customer Managers, Customer Service and Technical teams to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and strengthen our brands.
You'll bring:
Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, FMCG, or a related commercial role
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
The ability to manage stakeholders and navigate longer sales cycles
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Confidence working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Professional presentation and a customer-first mindset
A full, clean NZ driver's licence
In return, we offer great staff perks including:
Tools of trade provided
250g of beans to take home weekly, plus generous staff product discounts
Discounted café meals and offerings
A $200 wellbeing allowance
A free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme
Global recognition programmes
Career development opportunities
A welcoming and supportive culture with breakfast clubs, Friday drinks, and social events
A 12-week company paid parental leave policy
Diversity at Allpress
Allpress is committed to being an inclusive organisation where all people feel valued, respected, and engaged.
We pledge a commitment to:
Building an inclusive team and community who represent all groups in society
Empowering our people to continuously improve the way we work and promote equity
Removing barriers and the influence of bias
Creating a safe environment where we're encouraged to speak out against discrimination in any form
Cultivating a sense of belonging by encouraging our people to bring their whole selves to work
