Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon

Job Description:
The Division of Transplantation in the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP), seek a full-time multi-organ abdominal transplant surgeon. Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in general surgery and have completed an ASTS approved transplant fellowship. Candidates must have experience in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation, as well as multi-organ donor procurement. Experience in hepatobiliary surgery, living donor transplantation, and robotic surgery is highly desirable. Candidates must be eligible for a full medical license in Massachusetts.
A track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activities is required, as the candidate will be expected to be involved in the research and academic mission of the Division. Responsibilities will also include teaching surgery residents, fellows and medical students. Appointment as Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities.

Pay Range:
$116,500 - $836,700
The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
