About The Role
The Product Manager provides product leadership for one or more product lines, working closely with business leaders to shape the product roadmap and direction for a practice area. This role sits at the intersection of client needs, competitive positioning, and internal execution — requiring strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and a deep understanding of both the technical and commercial dimensions of product development in a regulated environment.
Key Accountabilities
Manage, maintain, and develop a client-facing product roadmap and messaging that clearly communicates Signant's product direction.
Understand the competitive landscape through internal and external resources to position Signant favorably and inform roadmap prioritization.
Partner with Business Development to understand customer user and buyer profiles; develop marketing content for product offerings.
Participate in, establish, and lead User Groups and Advisory Panels to gather structured client feedback and drive product alignment.
Assist with the development and advancement of Product Management best practices across Signant.
Coordinate with Product Analysts to establish priorities and maintain alignment between the client-facing roadmap and the detailed internal feature and function roadmap.
Support Business Development with go-to-market sales and implementation strategy for product releases.
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicting inputs, identify and assess risks, and translate high-level priorities into actionable written documentation, including all required SDLC and validation documents.
Participate in internal initiatives that enhance product capability; identify, coordinate, and implement process improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure regulatory compliance and support audit requests.
Essential
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Ability to communicate complex project plans, design and technical issues, and business and product requirements clearly in both verbal and written form; detailed working knowledge of SDLC.
Demonstrated success gathering information from a wide variety of sources and crafting it into effective, audience-appropriate technical and non-technical documentation.
Proven track record analyzing, defining, and overseeing requirements for advanced and complex applications, products, and integrations.
Familiarity with web-based application development and technologies (.NET, XML, etc.) and relational databases (SQL Server).
Experience working in a regulated technical environment; previous experience with clinical software highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple ongoing projects of varying scope and complexity with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated capacity to mentor, coach, and train others to ensure the successful transfer of complex technical, process, and organizational knowledge.
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented culture, providing backup support to team members and maintaining effective cross-functional relationships; demonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives.
Willingness and ability to work non-standard business hours when project needs dictate.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience; MBA highly desirable.
4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
