Summary
Set up an IP-XACT (IEEE 1685) based tracking and versioning system that lets us query exactly which IP version went into any given RTL build, DV environment, or GDSII release — in both directions. We strongly prefer someone who has already built this at another company, not a first attempt. You'll work with one of our engineers, who will walk you through our RTL/DV/GDSII flows so the system integrates cleanly rather than sitting on the side.
.Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
IP metadata scheme: Define IP-XACT-based version/config metadata and how it maps to our IP catalog.
Cross-stage traceability: Build the linkage/query layer connecting IP versions to RTL, DV, and GDSII releases, both ways.
Tooling: Stand up Magillem or Kactus2 (open source), or an equivalent industry-standard tool, and integrate it with our environment.
Flow integration: Map our existing RTL/DV/GDSII flows with our engineer and fit the system to them.
Automation: Script version capture at key checkpoints (RTL freeze, DV regression, tapeout) — no manual bookkeeping.
Handoff: Document the setup and enable our team to own it going forward.
Required Qualification
Track record: Has personally designed and deployed an IP-XACT tracking/versioning system elsewhere — describe scope and scale.
IP-XACT / IEEE 1685: Strong working knowledge with prior implementation experience.
SoC flow knowledge: Understands how IP moves through RTL, DV, and physical implementation to GDSII.
Tooling: hands-on with Magillem and/or Kactus2, or a comparable tool; also additional knowledge of ClioSoft SOS & Methodics based PLM knowledge will be handy
Scripting: Python and/or Tcl/Perl, integrated with EDA flows and version control.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $87000/annum
Pay Range Maximum: $172000/annum

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
