Role
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager, Agentic Platform Experience to join our team. This is a San Jose (Hybrid or Remote) role, reporting to the SVP, Strategic Development in the Platform Experience department. In this role, you will define and lead the strategy for agentic experiences across Zscaler’s platform, including AI-powered assistants, intelligent UI experiences, extensible skills, and the experience frameworks that connect them across our product portfolio. This is a hands-on product leadership role for a builder—someone who can move from concept to prototype to shipped capability, partner deeply with engineering and design, and shape how agentic experiences are designed, governed, and scaled in an enterprise security platform.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
Define and lead the product strategy for Agentic Platform Experience, including AI assistants, intelligent UI rendering, native agent experiences, skills and extensibility, multi-channel delivery, and trust and safety
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for agentic workflows, from early concept development and prototyping through PRDs, UX definition, launch, adoption, and post-launch optimization
Prototype agent workflows, tool integrations, MCP servers, and UI concepts ahead of engineering execution, using working prototypes and demos to validate direction, reduce ambiguity, and accelerate delivery
Partner closely with engineering, UX, architecture, security, and cross-functional product teams to define platform architecture, tool schemas, approval flows, API contracts, and scalable integration models across multiple Zscaler product lines
Collaborate with platform and engineering leaders on the infrastructure, observability, governance, and operating model required to support secure, scalable, and cost-effective agentic experiences

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
Technical intuition with comfort reading and prototyping with code (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript), working with REST APIs/OpenAPI, and collaborating deeply on multi-tenant SaaS architecture and implementation tradeoffs
Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, prompt design, agentic frameworks and protocols (such as MCP), tool calling, context management, and building observability and access control into AI-powered systems
Strong creative intuition and product taste to rapidly prototype solutions, evaluate model outputs, design structured outputs, and shape elegant user experiences that successfully abstract away underlying AI complexity
Demonstrated ability to define precise problem sets and success metrics from first principles, manage cross-functional execution, and bring complex products to market swiftly without relying on rigid coordination or heavyweight PRDs
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Proven ability to leverage AI technologies and workflows to drive measurable operational efficiency
Track record of designing and scaling production-grade enterprise AI applications with a focus on multi-agent orchestration frameworks and generative UI patterns
Experience in cybersecurity, zero trust, network security, or other enterprise security platforms combined with hands-on experience building with frameworks like LangGraph, Mastra, CrewAI, Vercel AI SDK, or Pydantic AI
Deep understanding of security and trust considerations for enterprise AI systems, including prompt injection risk, delegated authority, sandboxing, PII handling, and safe execution patterns

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$171,500—$245,000 USD
