About Data Platform Infrastructure Team:
The Data Platform Infrastructure Team at Revelio Labs is in charge of building the core infrastructure used by product teams to build micro-services which support our business. This includes defining and driving the vision necessary to achieve best of scale and availability. Some of the technologies that we work with include Kubernetes, Linux, AWS, and Snowflake. We continuously invest in building new distributed services and scaling existing technologies while working with various teams to meet their current and future needs.
The Data Platform Infrastructure Team is composed of talented engineers that manage our OS components, cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, container orchestration, and deployments both on prem and on the cloud.
As a Database Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling Revelio's infrastructure to power all of our products, and at scale. In particular, you will own the maintenance of our Snowflake infrastructure, lead the efforts to modernize its management via IaC approach, and be the go-to person for all Snowflake related requests other teams might have. In addition to Snowflake, you will deploy, manage, and upgrade open source database solutions on Kubernetes. Your solutions will allow our business to scale and achieve a best in class price/performance ratio.
Responsibilities:
Own the management and maintenance of our Snowflake infrastructure
Deploy, manage, maintain, and upgrade open source database solutions on Kubernetes
Assist in managing and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure
Collaborate with the team on infrastructure automation projects
Help troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues
Contribute to the improvement of our CI/CD pipelines
Participate in code reviews and documentation efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience in a software development role
Strong proficiency with infrastructure management using Terraform
Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Experience using GitHub for collaboration and version control
Experience with containerization concepts and tools, Docker, Kubernetes
Programming experience with Python, SQL, Bash
Understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to offer effective support to client facing teams
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Solid knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools
Scripting skills using bash to create powerful automation tools
Understanding of observability tools and practices to ensure system health and performance
Location:
Our offices are based in New York City, but the position can be done remotely.
Salary:
The pay range for this position in New York City is $140,000 - $160,000 per year. The salary range for performing this role outside of New York City may differ. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in our company’s equity program, plus benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be more senior or have different experience than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
