About Sports Medicine Australia
Sports Medicine Australia keeps sports trainers, coaches, and everyday Australians ready for the moment someone gets hurt on the field. Our education team trains the people who show up first. We're a membership-based charity working across grassroots and community sport right through to high-performance athletes, and we help protect the next generation from unnecessary injuries like concussion, so every level of sport in Australia can play safer.
The Brief
We're modernising one of our flagship online learning programs, a course that's been running for over five decades and is overdue for a major visual uplift and a redesigned assessment experience (don't worry, the online learning isn't five decades old).
The content itself is strong and doesn't need rebuilding; this is about transforming how it looks, feels, and tests understanding. We need a skilled learning designer to lead that transformation. The role is four to six weeks in duration, roughly four days a week, ideal for someone between roles or open to a short, high-impact contract.
What you'll do
Redesign the learning experience from the ground up, build it out in Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline
Create assessments that genuinely test understanding rather than tick boxes
Lead initial stakeholder testing sessions with our customers to make sure we've nailed it before it goes live.
What we need
Stacks of hands-on experience with Articulate Rise and Storyline, a proven eye for instructional design and learning experience design, confidence building assessments that hold up, comfortable working independently and collaboratively with a small team.
Work samples are welcome, not required. We'd love to see examples of what you've made, it helps us get a sense of your eye for design as well as your technical skills in Articulate. However, we know that is not always possible given the confidential nature of online learning.
This is a short, defined project, not an ongoing role. It would be great if you're between things or want a taste of purpose-driven work. There may be scope for additional projects down the track if this one lands well within time and budget, though nothing beyond this is approved yet.
