Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role
Momentum Nexus is an AI-native growth studio that helps businesses achieve their growth & marketing & sales goals with agentic workflows.
We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who can work directly with clients, understand their operational challenges, and turn those needs into reliable systems. You'll combine software engineering with business problem-solving and clear communication.
You'll own implementations from discovery through deployment and adoption. Working alongside our operations team, you'll adapt existing capabilities, build integrations, and create tools that help clients run their day-to-day work more effectively.
This role suits someone who enjoys talking through a business problem, writing the code to solve it, and staying involved until people can use the solution confidently.
What you'll do
Understand client needs. Join discovery sessions, map existing workflows, identify constraints, and agree on useful, measurable outcomes.
Own implementation. Translate business requirements into scoped technical plans, working prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
Build AI-powered workflows. Develop and improve agents and automations with appropriate validation, human review, and clear failure handling.
Connect business systems. Build API integrations across CRM, marketing, content, analytics, and project management platforms.
Create practical tools. Develop dashboards, lightweight applications, and internal tools that make information and actions accessible to users.
Improve reliability. Debug failures, add meaningful tests and monitoring, and address recurring issues in deployed workflows.
Support adoption. Document how systems work, train users, and incorporate feedback after launch.
Build for reuse. Turn recurring requirements into shared components while keeping client-specific configuration and data appropriately separated.
Communicate clearly. Keep clients and teammates informed about progress, trade-offs, dependencies, and next steps.
What we're looking for
Experience shipping and maintaining software that people use in real business environments.
Strong practical ability in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, with confidence working across unfamiliar codebases.
Experience with REST APIs, authentication, webhooks, SQL, and data transformations.
Familiarity with Git, Linux environments, deployment workflows, logging, and debugging.
Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or AI workflow tools, including evaluating outputs and handling failures.
The ability to use AI coding tools effectively while understanding, reviewing, and taking responsibility for the resulting code.
Good judgment around credentials, permissions, client data, and production changes.
Strong written and verbal communication in Turkish and English.
Comfort working directly with clients, asking precise questions, and explaining technical decisions in plain language.
Ownership and follow-through: you clarify ambiguity, surface blockers early, and verify that the delivered solution meets the agreed need.
We value evidence of what you've built and how you work. Relevant experience may come from engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or running your own projects.
Helpful additional experience
Delivering implementations for multiple clients or working in an app studio, agency or consultancy.
Integrating CRM, marketing automation, or customer operations platforms.
Building lightweight web interfaces and dashboards.
Using Docker, cloud platforms, CI/CD, or workflow orchestration tools.
Working with retrieval systems, structured model outputs, tool calling, or AI evaluations.
Understanding marketing funnels, lead management, and operational reporting.
What success looks like
You turn an unclear request into an agreed scope and a working solution. Your implementations are tested, documented, and observable. Clients and teammates understand how to use them, and recurring problems lead to improvements in the underlying system.
As you learn our workflows, you'll take increasing ownership of client implementations and help shape the capabilities we can reuse across engagements.
