Store Manager C

Position Purpose:
Responsible for managing the overall operation of the store, including tool rental, merchandise sales, inventory control, shipping and receiving, administrative and financial operations, safety, and merchandising. Ensures store compliance with company policies and procedures while driving revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and executing actions to ensure the store meets rental revenue, sales, and profitability goals.
Develop an understanding of store financial performance and use financial information to plan and implement actions that improve store results.
Manage all aspects of store opening and closing procedures.
Utilize available tools and business judgment to plan inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock based on market demand.
Ensure the store is properly stocked, merchandised, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Manage inventory control activities, including inventory planning, inventory audits, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention initiatives.
Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including receiving merchandise shipments and processing shipments to repair centers.
Ensure proper cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers, reconciling credit card transactions, and preparing bank deposits.
Solicit customer feedback regarding product assortment and communicate recommendations to the merchandise team.
Participate in testing, evaluating, and providing feedback regarding company initiatives and operational improvements.
Merchandise products and maintain showroom and warehouse organization to promote safety and efficient material handling.
Provide exceptional customer service and establish customer relationships that drive repeat rental and merchandise sales.
Generate revenue growth through promotion of the Ames line of automatic taping tools, rental programs, parts, equipment, and merchandise offerings.
Recommend business development opportunities and operational improvements to regional leadership.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the store and across company operations.
Process rental transactions, merchandise sales, customer orders, and related activities using company systems.
Support collection and accounts receivable activities as assigned.
Perform daily operational functions including customer service, order processing, merchandising, inventory management, inventory audits, housekeeping, database maintenance, cash handling, bank deposits, and operational reporting.
Coordinate with repair center personnel regarding tool quality, repair status, inventory availability, and shipment issues.
Supervise Assistant Store Managers, Store Associates, Delivery Drivers, and other assigned personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Reports to the department manager.
Directly supervises Assistant Store Managers, Delivery Drivers, Store Associates, and other assigned personnel, if applicable. Responsibilities include training employees, planning and assigning work, directing daily activities, resolving customer and employee concerns, and escalating issues as appropriate.
Travel Requirements:
Little to no travel required. Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or business-related activities.

Working Conditions:
Works primarily in a retail store, warehouse, and showroom environment. Regular interaction with customers, vendors, and employees is required. The work environment includes merchandise handling, inventory management, and store operations activities. The noise level is typically moderate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Reliable transportation is required.
Strong customer service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
Strong operational and financial management skills.
Experience with inventory control and merchandising.
Ability to drive sales growth and promote rental and merchandise programs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve operational and customer service issues.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Experience in tool rental, retail operations, construction products, building materials, distribution, or related industries.
Experience supervising employees in a retail, warehouse, rental, or service environment.
Experience managing inventory, receivables, merchandising, and customer-facing operations.
Prior experience with point-of-sale systems.
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent.
Preferred Education:
Associate degree or coursework in Business, Management, Retail Operations, Sales, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
Four or more years of related retail operations, rental operations, customer service, sales, inventory management, or store leadership experience.
Certifications:
None required.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $48,900.00 to $62,200.00 annually. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, profit-sharing programs, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
