Are you a curious, insatiable media consumer with a deep knowledge of the latest TV dramas, celebrity news, and true-crime documentaries? Do you excel at pop-culture trivia? Could you just as easily assemble a roundup of stars with regrettable tattoos as you could a list of the best Robert Pattinson roles?
Entertainment Weekly is looking for an SEO Writer to create search-driven movie, TV, and celebrity content for EW. Assignments could include breaking down the Severance finale, checking in on the subjects of a hit documentary, or rounding up a list of stars you never knew were related.
This person must be a fast, clean writer, a resourceful researcher, and a digitally savvy entertainment expert with a strong understanding of SEO best practices. The ideal candidate is a voicey writer who can have fun with their copy while maintaining authority on the subject.
EW is a fast-paced newsroom, so speed is essential along with the ability to pitch and write multiple articles per day of varying length. We’re looking for a talented writer who regularly consumes new and popular streaming content and has a wide-ranging interest in celebrity and pop culture.
Assignment Details:
40 hours a week
Start date: 10/13/2026
End date: 3 months with potential to extend
Hourly Rate: $28
