About the role
You'll own how our robot moves: planning paths through crowded factory floors, avoiding obstacles and people, and executing tasks reliably from start to finish.
What you'll do
Develop and tune path planning and navigation (Nav2, MPPI or similar controllers)
Build obstacle avoidance that works around people, carts and forklifts
Improve behaviour at intersections, around blocked paths and at unreachable goals
Implement task execution: going to stations, docking, pulling carts and returning
Test in simulation and on the real robot, and analyse field data from customer sites
What we're looking for
Degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or similar
Hands-on experience with ROS 2 and Nav2 (or similar navigation frameworks)
Understanding of path planning, costmaps and motion control
Good C++ and/or Python
Experience testing on real robots, not only in simulation
Nice to have
Behaviour trees, MPPI / DWB / TEB controllers
Gazebo or Isaac Sim
Student autonomous-vehicle or robotics team experience
