About The Role
FTI is looking for a talented professional at the Director level to join their Melbourne Disputes team. As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast-growing practice.
We focus on providing expert testimony, litigation consulting, forensic accounting and damages analyses in numerous types of litigated matters, including some of the highest-profile lawsuits of recent years. Clients benefit from our expertise in many specialized areas, working directly with our professionals or with our large network of industry and academic experts.
We are frequently engaged by clients in highly regulated industries, including technology, financial services, healthcare, oil and gas, and energy to support our clients on complex disputes and investigations that require a multidisciplinary approach to dispute resolution.
Our disputes specialists are also active in the forensic accounting community including holding roles with local and international accounting bodies.
What You’ll Do
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong analytic and quantitative skills
Demonstrated ability to work with large and complex datasets, and to build reproducible, well-documented reports
Solid communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to clients and staff within and outside of the firm
Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients across functions
A positive, professional, and solutions-oriented attitude
Resilience and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills
Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in accounting, Economics or Finance
5+ years’ experience, including professional experience in a disputes role
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications
Adaptability in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information
Ability to work in a team and autonomously

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $125,000
Maximum Pay: $165,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications
