DevOps Engineer

Role Summary
Looking for an experienced candidate with a blend of DevOps/Platform Engineering with automation and AI capabilities. This role will lead automation, platform modernization, cloud-native adoption, observability, and security initiatives while enabling developers through self-service platform capabilities. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, IAC, CI/CD, Platform Automation, Observability tools, Networking, Security and emerging AIOps technologies.
This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
Position Details
About The Role
Participate as a functional member of the Product Engineering team in standups, design reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities while providing operational and platform perspectives.
Review architecture designs, pull requests, and technical solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and operational readiness for 24x7 production environments.
Troubleshoot production issues end-to-end across application, infrastructure, networking, databases, and cloud platforms; trace data flows and implement fixes with minimal escalation.
Drive operational maturity by implementing monitoring, observability, alerting, runbooks, failover strategies, performance testing, patch management, security remediation, and release validation.
Partner with Product Engineering, SRE, Release Engineering, and InfoSec teams to improve platform adoption, developer experience, incident response, and service reliability
About You
4-6 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including hands-on production coding, debugging, incident resolution, and embedded team collaboration.
Strong programming expertise in Go and Python, with the ability to read, debug, and patch applications built using Node.js/TypeScript, Dart/Flutter, Java, .NET, C++, and C, along with advanced SQL skills (TSQL, PLpgSQL).
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystems including Amazon EKS, Helm, Cilium, cloud-native architectures, GCP/GKE, API gateways, and service mesh technologies such as Kong, Envoy, and Istio.
Strong platform engineering expertise including Terraform, Terragrunt, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions, Harness, CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing (K6, Locust, JMeter), and secure software delivery practices.
Deep understanding of databases, distributed systems, Kafka, Redis, observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana), Databricks, security tooling (SonarQube, Dependabot, JFrog), and AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and CodeRabbit.
