What You Will Do:
Make our complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback a memorable experience for our guests by providing friendly, efficient beverage service and exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages from the approved Kickback drink menu during our complimentary evening reception.
Verify guest eligibility and follow all responsible alcohol service standards.
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout service.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Assist with breakdown, cleaning, and resetting of the Kickback and bar areas following service.
Support the hotel team in delivering an exceptional guest experience through Drury's +1 Service Attitude.
Answer guest questions about hotel amenities, local attractions, and area events.
What We Are Looking For:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
Previous bartending, food and beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.
Basic Function & Job Duties:
Under general supervision, the Bartender is responsible for providing beverage service during the hotel's complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback reception. This position serves drinks from a designated menu for approximately two hours, maintains a clean and organized service area, ensures compliance with alcohol service guidelines, and creates a positive guest experience. Following service, the Bartender assists with cleanup, restocking, and preparation of the area for the next day.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 4 to 6-hour shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform routine cleaning duties.
Ability to safely handle bar equipment and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bartending experience preferred.
Alcohol awareness certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
Knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and guest hospitality standards.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
