Job Title : Senior Microsoft 365 SharePoint & Teams Technical Lead (SME)
Position Overview
Lead the architecture, governance, and enterprise migration of collaboration and content management solutions using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform. This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on building a scalable, secure, and sustainable Microsoft 365 collaboration environment while guiding enterprise migration and governance initiatives. 8–10 years of strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
What You'll Do
Lead SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams architecture, including information architecture, permissions, lifecycle, and administration models.
Define and establish Microsoft 365 governance, including provisioning, access controls, retention, ownership, compliance, and lifecycle management.
Provide technical leadership for enterprise migration from on-premises SharePoint and file shares to Microsoft 365.
Assess existing collaboration platforms and develop migration strategies, standards, and best practices.
Design SharePoint information architecture, including hubs, libraries, metadata, content types, navigation, search, and document management.
Establish security and compliance guardrails with cybersecurity and compliance teams using Microsoft Purview capabilities.
Guide integration of SharePoint and Teams with Microsoft 365 services and enterprise applications.
Develop architecture standards, governance documentation, reference architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Support proof of concepts and technical evaluations for new Microsoft 365 collaboration capabilities.
Mentor internal teams and serve as the escalation point for complex Microsoft 365 architecture issues.
Required Qualifications
8–10 years of strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
Strong expertise in SharePoint architecture, information architecture, permissions, content management, and governance.
Experience migrating on-premises SharePoint and/or file shares to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
Experience developing Microsoft Teams governance and enterprise collaboration models.
Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), identity, authentication, RBAC, and access management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and compliance capabilities.
Experience with PowerShell and Microsoft 365 administration.
Power Platform experience, including Power Automate and workflow modernization.
Understanding of network, security, endpoint, and cloud infrastructure dependencies supporting Microsoft 365.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 transformation or migration programs.
Experience with ShareGate or similar migration technologies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Graph APIs and integration capabilities.
Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-700, or related Microsoft 365/SharePoint certifications.
Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated environment.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across infrastructure, security, business, and executive teams.
