Windows Endpoint Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Windows Endpoint Engineer in RTP to join a growing organization within the defense and regulated technology sector. The Windows Endpoint Engineer will play a key role in managing enterprise endpoint infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments while driving modernization initiatives, security improvements, and end-user computing strategies. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with stakeholder engagement to improve endpoint performance, security posture, and virtual workspace solutions.
Responsibilities of the Windows Endpoint Engineer:
Administer and support enterprise Windows infrastructure, including patching, vulnerability remediation, system upgrades, and operational maintenance across on-premises environments.
Manage and enhance Cloud PC environments, focusing on user requests, platform optimization, security improvements, lifecycle management, and ongoing modernization efforts.
Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate Thin Client solutions, gather requirements, identify operational challenges, and drive improvements for highly secure user environments.
Lead endpoint management initiatives leveraging Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, and related cloud technologies.
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to strengthen endpoint protection, compliance, and user experience across the enterprise.
Qualifications of the Windows Endpoint Engineer:
7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows systems engineering, endpoint administration, and desktop infrastructure.
Strong expertise with Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and endpoint lifecycle management.
Experience managing security vulnerabilities, operating system upgrades, endpoint hardening, and compliance-driven initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, manage projects, and work directly with stakeholders to develop end-user computing solutions.
