Job Responsibilities :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Systems Administrator to design, operate, and continuously improve highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical payment processing platforms.
This role is responsible for ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence of cloud environments that power real-time transaction services, merchant integrations, settlement pipelines, and financial reporting systems. The position also contributes to platform modernization initiatives, automation strategy, and adoption of AI-assisted operational capabilities to improve system resilience and engineering productivity.
Cloud Infrastructure Architecture & Operations
Design, implement, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure supporting high-throughput transaction workloads.
Manage core cloud services including compute platforms, container orchestration environments, object storage, managed databases, identity access management, networking, and load balancing.
Ensure platform scalability through capacity planning, auto-scaling strategy implementation, and performance optimization.
Support multi-zone / multi-region architectures and disaster recovery strategies to meet strict uptime and SLA requirements.

System Reliability & Performance Engineering
Monitor infrastructure health, transaction performance, and system utilization to proactively identify operational risks.
Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis with preventive improvement actions.
Optimize compute, storage, network, and database configurations to support high concurrency and low-latency payment processing.
Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to improve deployment safety and environment consistency
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or cloud-native provisioning frameworks.
Automate provisioning, configuration management, patching, and operational workflows.
Integrate infrastructure automation with CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable platform deployments.
Develop operational tooling and scripts to enhance system observability and response efficiency.
Security, Compliance & Governance
Enforce cloud security best practices including identity governance, network segmentation, encryption controls, and secure configuration baselines.
Support compliance initiatives aligned with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and financial regulatory requirements.
Participate in vulnerability remediation, security hardening programs, and audit readiness activities.
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and change management controls.
Cost Optimization & Resource Efficiency
Analyze cloud usage patterns and recommend cost optimization strategies while maintaining platform reliability.
Implement governance frameworks such as tagging standards, resource lifecycle policies, and capacity reservation planning.
Provide visibility into infrastructure cost trends and operational efficiency metrics.
AI-Assisted Cloud Operations & R&D Innovation
Leverage AI-powered operational tooling to improve monitoring insights, incident prediction, and anomaly detection.
Participate in experimentation on AI use cases including:
Intelligent log correlation and operational diagnostics
Predictive workload scaling recommendations
Automated runbook generation and incident guidance
Infrastructure configuration optimization suggestions
Cloud cost anomaly detection and optimization insights
Collaborate with platform engineering and R&D teams to prototype intelligent automation workflows that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
Promote responsible and secure adoption of AI capabilities in infrastructure management practices.
Pre-Requisites :
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years experience in cloud infrastructure or systems administration roles.
Hands-on experience managing production cloud environments supporting high-availability applications.
Strong understanding of:
networking fundamentals and cloud architecture patterns
Linux system administration
Distributed system reliability concepts
Infrastructure automation and configuration management
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Payment Gateway, FinTech, Banking, or high-transaction platforms.
Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or managed container services.
Experience managing high-volume databases or distributed data platforms.
Exposure to messaging or event streaming platforms.
Experience supporting regulated production environments.
