Distribution Material Handler
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
As a Distribution Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring products and point-of-sale (POS) materials are accurately received, stored, picked, loaded, and distributed throughout the warehouse. Your work will help maintain inventory integrity, support on-time customer deliveries, and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient operation.
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Starting times and hours may vary based on business needs, production schedules, holidays, and coverage requirements.
Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products and POS materials from trailers.
Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Store products and materials in designated warehouse locations.
Accurately pick, assemble, palletize, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Apply and verify product labels, date codes, descriptions, quantities, route numbers, and pallet counts.
Verify quantities and conditions of incoming products and materials.
Utilize warehouse technology, including RF scanners and voice-picking equipment, in accordance with company procedures.
Transport products and materials throughout the warehouse using approved equipment.
Prepare warehouse areas for cycle counts, inventory activities, and order fulfillment operations.
Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance checklists and report defective equipment.
Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Maintain clean work areas, remove waste, and keep aisles and exits clear of obstructions.
Follow proper lifting, carrying, and material handling procedures.
Immediately report injuries, safety concerns, property damage, and equipment issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the shift.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
Ability to follow safety protocols, operational procedures, and work instructions.
Basic communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to work schedule changes and overtime as business needs require.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
Previous warehouse, distribution center, or material handling experience.
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Experience using RF scanners, voice-picking systems, or warehouse management technology.
Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and shipping processes.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S.
Experience working in a food, beverage, consumer goods, or manufacturing environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
Occasional exposure to humidity, airborne particles, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
Moderate noise levels typical of warehouse and distribution operations.
Requires adherence to all safety, housekeeping, food safety, and personal protective equipment standards.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
