Our client is a Southern California product engineering company building software for media organizations. Its platform helps customers manage, distribute, and monetize live and on-demand content across web, mobile, and connected TV. The work spans cloud services, a content management system, and applications that run on real devices.They are urgently seeking a Full-stack Lead / Staff .Net Software Engineer.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role & Project lead. You will spend approximately 60–80% of your time writing production code in C#/.NET and Microservices and React/TypeScript. Your work will solve difficult problems and provide implementations that other engineering teams can follow.
The remaining 20–40% focuses on architecture, code review, and mentoring across teams. You will set technical direction while continuing to build. This is not a people management position.
You will also help identify and deliver useful AI features. The team is looking for experience integrating AI into production workflows, rather than research experience or familiarity with AI tools alone.
Responsibilities
Build complex C#/.NET services, improve key areas of a React/TypeScript application, and deliver production AI integrations.
Take projects from concept through deployment and support the systems you ship on AWS.
Establish reusable patterns for APIs, frontend architecture, data, and cloud services through working code and code review.
Improve component architecture, state management, performance, testing, and API integration across a large web application.
Apply generative AI where it solves a real product or operational problem, accounting for evaluation, cost, latency, safety, and fallback behavior.
Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions across teams while continuing to write a substantial share of the code.
Required Experience
Deep C#/.NET expertise and strong, recent, hands-on React and TypeScript experience.
Production code shipped personally in both backend and frontend systems within the past 6–12 months.
Typically 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including approximately two or more years leading the technical direction of a product area.
Experience designing and building distributed systems on AWS, including APIs, event-driven services, messaging, data stores, caching, CI/CD, and observability.
Demonstrated technical influence across multiple teams through architecture, shared standards, code review, and mentoring.
Advanced experience with React/TypeScript component design, state management, API integration, performance, testing, and large single-page applications.
Hands-on experience shipping a production AI or ML integration, such as an LLM API, RAG workflow, vector search, model inference, or AI agent.
Strongly Preferred
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms or CMS and administrative products.
Familiarity with media, streaming, OTT, or publishing.
Measurable results from introducing AI into product or engineering workflows, with an understanding of evaluation and failure modes.
Experience improving a large existing React application incrementally.
A track record of expanding technical influence beyond one team while remaining hands-on.
Exposure to native mobile or connected TV applications.
Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform and close collaboration with DevOps teams.
