This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) de Software Sênior Backend (vaga temporária) based in Brazil.
This is a senior software engineering opportunity focused on building and maintaining reliable digital products across backend, web, and mobile environments.
You will work primarily with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js while contributing to React-based web and mobile applications.
The role combines hands-on development with technical decision-making, architecture, code quality, and production support.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams using Scrum and contribute to planning, refinement, estimation, and delivery.
The position also involves Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and secure integrations.
You will have the opportunity to use AI development tools to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation.
This is a temporary engagement suited to an autonomous senior professional who takes ownership of technical outcomes and delivery quality.
Accountabilities
Develop and maintain backend APIs, web interfaces, and mobile application functionality throughout the project lifecycle.
Design scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions aligned with business and product requirements.
Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including refinements, planning sessions, daily meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.
Support the team with technical decomposition of requirements, effort estimation, architectural decisions, and implementation planning.
Apply Clean Code principles, automated testing, code reviews, and other software engineering practices to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve observability across critical workflows.
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, environments, and Azure service integrations.
Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate code analysis, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, automation, and day-to-day engineering productivity.
Contribute to technical discussions and help the team make informed implementation and architecture decisions.
Requirements
Completed higher education degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
Significant senior-level experience in software development using JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with strong experience in Node.js and React.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.
Practical experience with React Native or willingness and ability to contribute to mobile application development.
Solid experience with Oracle databases, relational data modeling, SQL queries, and database migrations.
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and development, staging, and production environments.
Experience working with Scrum and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Ability to produce clean, testable, maintainable, and well-structured code.
Strong technical communication skills, autonomy, accountability, and ownership of assigned deliveries.
Desirable: experience with Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Managed Identity.
Desirable: experience with Playwright and end-to-end testing.
Desirable: experience developing mobile applications involving camera capabilities, OCR, geolocation, and offline functionality.
Desirable: knowledge of API security, secrets management, and secure deployment practices.
Desirable: mature, practical use of AI tools throughout software development and operational workflows.
