Head – Manufacturing & Supply Chain Systems (Kolkata) for FMCG Brand

Job Summary -
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Applications Leader with strong domain expertise in FMCG/manufacturing processes and deep ERP implementation experience. Proven hands-on knowledge in Finance, Sales & Distribution, and Supply Chain modules is critical. Expertise in Oracle ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA is required, with a minimum of 2 full end-to-end ERP implementations. Experience in both platforms is an added advantage.
The role will provide strategic leadership for enterprise applications, drive large-scale ERP and digital initiatives, and ensure alignment of technology with business transformation objectives. The incumbent will also mentor and lead a high-performing team while managing key vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Application Strategy & Leadership
• Define and execute the enterprise applications roadmap in line with business priorities.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, WMS).
• Partner with Supply Chain & Manufacturing leaders to deliver scalable solutions.
Project & Program Management
• Lead minimum 1–2 end-to-end ERP implementations (Oracle ERP).
• Oversee scope, budget, timelines, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Institutionalize best practices in governance, change management, and risk management.
Application Operations & Governance
• Ensure ERP and allied applications run reliably, securely, and at scale.
• Establish incident, change, and release management processes.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, audit standards, and internal controls.
Team & Vendor Management
• Build and lead a team of functional/technical consultants, business analysts, and support staff.
• Manage external system integrators, ERP vendors, and consulting partners for high-quality delivery.
Innovation & Digital Enablement
• Drive digital initiatives with analytics, automation, and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Enable digitization of business processes
• Explore cloud migration and integrations between Oracle, SAP, and other systems.
Key Interfaces
• Internal: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D
• External: ERP Vendors (Oracle, SAP), Technology Partners, Consultants, System Integrators
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT (MBA preferred).
• 12+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven ERP expertise: Oracle ERP, with minimum 1-2 full lifecycle implementations(Financials, Sales & Distribution, or Supply Chain modules).
• Good knowledge of databases, middleware, and IT infrastructure.
• FMCG/manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
