Role Description The Senior Research Associate will lead and execute research projects focused on herbal and Ayurvedic formulations, ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance. This full-time, on-site role, based in Tumkur, involves designing experiments, conducting laboratory studies, analyzing data, and documenting findings in technical reports and publications. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, quality, regulatory, and product development to translate research insights into innovative wellness products. Responsibilities include optimizing existing formulations, supporting stability and safety studies, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to relevant quality and safety standards. The role also requires mentoring junior team members, participating in internal reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of research methodologies and lab practices.
Qualifications
Strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field, with proven experience in laboratory research and experimental design.
Applied knowledge of herbal formulations, Ayurveda, or natural product research, including extraction, characterization, and evaluation of plant-based ingredients.
Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, microbiological assays) and familiarity with data analysis and interpretation.
Experience with regulatory and quality frameworks relevant to wellness, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical products, including documentation and compliance standards.
Excellent scientific writing and communication skills for preparing reports, protocols, publications, and presentations, and for effective collaboration across teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work systematically, and meet timelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline; prior experience in industry R&D, especially in herbal or Ayurvedic product development, is highly beneficial.
