Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors

What are we looking for?
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Business Administration, Commerce, Agriculture, Food Technology, or an equivalent field
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, or Vendor Management.
Experience in FMCG, foodtech, food manufacturing, D2C, e-commerce, agriculture, or a similar fast-growing business will be preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of procurement and purchasing processes
Vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and management
Understanding of inventory management and material planning
Strong costing and negotiation skills
Experience with Purchase Orders, quotations, invoices, and procurement documentation
Strong MS Excel/Google Sheets skills
Ability to analyse vendor pricing and procurement data
Understanding of basic supply chain and inventory metrics
Strong coordination and follow-up skills
Familiarity with ERP/procurement software will be an added advantage
Communication skills:
Strong written and spoken English skills.
You should be able to communicate clearly with vendors, internal teams, production partners, and leadership, negotiate professionally, and ensure that requirements do not get lost between teams.
Soft Skills:
You take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
You are detail-oriented and highly organised. You follow up on things until they are closed and do not allow pending orders, vendor commitments, or material requirements to slip through the cracks.
You are comfortable negotiating and can maintain good vendor relationships without compromising on quality, cost, or timelines.
You are practical and solution-oriented. When a supplier delays an order or a material becomes unavailable, you look for alternatives instead of simply reporting the problem.
You are comfortable working with numbers and making decisions based on cost, inventory, availability, and business requirements.
You work well with the people around you, no ego, collaborative, and genuinely invested in the team winning.
When you hit a blocker, you find a way through without waiting to be told what to do.
You stay calm under pressure, pay attention to details, and treat the work like it is your own business.
At FarmDidi, you will not just place purchase orders. You will help build a procurement function that can scale with the business.
