Job Summary: Looking for highly motivated fresh graduates to join our IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team as Associate Infrastructure Engineer (L1). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about enterprise technology to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of infrastructure domains including cloud, virtualisation, networking, databases, and cybersecurity working alongside a senior experienced engineer.
This role will be a key support layer for the team, handling first-level monitoring, incident, routine operational tasks.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor virtual infrastructure health across Nutanix, VxRail, and VMware environments
Monitor Database availability, Scheduled Jobs, Windows, Linux, Network device availability (Switches, Routers, Firewalls), Ecare alerts (JDE) & performance managements.
Perform first-level triage of alerts from cloud (Azure/AWS) environments
Assist with routine VM provisioning, snapshot management, reporting
Support backup verification tasks using Rubrik, Veeam, Cloud backups — ensure job completion and flag failures
Log, track, and escalate incidents according to defined SLA thresholds
Monitor database availability, performance dashboards, and scheduled job status
Perform routine health checks — disk space, connection limits, backup status
Assist with DNS updates, firewall rule logging
Monitor Sentinel One EDR dashboards, track alerts and agent health status
Review Rapid7 vulnerability scan reports and assist with remediation tracking
Maintain vulnerability logs, patch status spreadsheets, and compliance checklists
Maintain operational runbooks, incident logs, and change records
Prepare daily/weekly status reports and dashboards.
Update asset inventories and CMDB records as directed
Monitoring of JD Edwards Daily Job queue, PR refresh, restart jobs.
AdHoc update package build, Monthly package Build.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline
KEY COMPONENTS
Quick learner with strong technical ability
Attention to detail in monitoring and documentation
Comfort with multi-domain technology exposure
Clear verbal and written communication in English
Collaboration — works well within a senior team
Ability to follow structured runbooks and escalation paths
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ABILITIES:
Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Basic familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn complex enterprise technologies
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) through academic projects (Added advantage)
Any IT certification — CompTIA A+, Network+, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AWS Cloud Practitioner (Added advantage)
Familiarity with virtualisation concepts through coursework or lab environments(Added advantage)
Basic scripting knowledge — Python, PowerShell, or Bash(Added advantage)
