Role Description The intern will support Cipla’s legal and compliance function in a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The intern will assist in reviewing and drafting policies, internal guidelines, and research on pharmaceutical and healthcare laws. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research, summarizing findings, and helping to prepare compliance reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. The role involves supporting monitoring activities, maintaining compliance documentation, and helping track changes in relevant laws, industry codes, and corporate governance requirements. The intern will collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to promote adherence to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and guidelines clearly and accurately.
Competence in drafting, reviewing, and formatting basic legal documents, policies, and compliance-related correspondence.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information in clear, concise language.
Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Familiarity with compliance concepts, such as anti-bribery, data protection, and industry codes of conduct, is beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for documentation, analysis, and presentation of compliance information.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple tasks within timelines.
