Job:
Groundskeeper (Tuesday - Saturday, 7am-3:30pm, TDO: Sunday - Monday)
Position reports to officials of the Facilities Services department and performs duties appropriate to the care of the grounds.
Job Description:
The position includes but is not limited to the following:
Sweeping or cleaning sidewalks, tree pits, campus walks, lawns, flowerbeds, terraces and gravel areas.
Empties exterior trash receptacles.
Relamps exterior light fixtures.
Performs a variety of lawn and gardening duties including seeding, cutting, raking, watering, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying and pruning.
Snow removal on campus perimeter and interior areas.
Operates or uses a variety of hand and power tools and motorized equipment.
Other duties as outlined in the Grounds Keeping Schedule.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of full-time experience in grounds and gardening work or,
A satisfactory equivalent of training and experience.
A valid drivers license.
A qualifying written, practical or oral examination may be conducted.
$36.13/hr regular rate – $32.51/hr probationary rate*
*probationary rate is followed by wage progressions
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
