ABOUT THE ROLE
As a result of an internal career opportunity, we are recruiting for a Consumer Growth Specialist to join the Big Bash Leagues team at Cricket Australia.
This role is ideal for a consumer growth, membership, ticketing or marketing professional who is passionate about creating best-in-class fan experiences and driving commercial outcomes. You'll play a key role in delivering one of our core strategic priorities: an obsession with attendance.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about understanding fan behaviour, identifying growth opportunities and executing targeted campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, using insights to inform strategy, and turning plans into action. Even better if you have a history of working to convert participants into attendees and lifelong fans.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Consumer and Commercial Growth you’ll be responsible for:
Driving growth across key consumer metrics for the Big Bash Leagues, including attendance, ticket sales and memberships, by partnering with Clubs to deliver consumer objectives.
Championing consumer best practice across the Big Bash, supporting Clubs through strategic alignment, knowledge sharing and the implementation of initiatives that drive fan acquisition, engagement and retention.
Leading the participant-to-fan strategy across junior, senior and community cricket, building stronger connections between participants and Big Bash Clubs to drive attendance, ticket sales and membership growth.
Contributing to the development and execution of Big Bash League sales and engagement plans, supporting Clubs to achieve WBBL and BBL attendance, ticket sales and membership targets.
Providing hands-on support to Clubs to develop and execute crowd-building and ticket sales initiatives, with a focus on growing marketable audiences and converting prospects into ticket buyers.
Leading group ticket sales strategy and best practice across the League, leveraging opportunities across community cricket, schools, sporting clubs and other priority audience segments.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Business-related / Sport Management qualification/s.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in sports membership or an attendance growth role
A sales mindset with the ability to build an obsession with attendance within the Big Bash Leagues and Clubs.
Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
Knowledge of ticketing, membership and venue environments.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Our employees at Cricket are gifted an additional week of leave at the end of the season! As a CA employee, you will also have other benefits including:
Tickets to the Cricket for you to take your friends and family and experience Australia’s favourite game!
A flexible working environment, meaning we strike the balance of what you need and what works for the business (this isn’t limited to working remotely)
Discounts from our partners such as ASICS and salary packaging options
A multitude of leave types including paid parental leave and volunteer leave
